This Privacy Policy describes howVasuvo Care ("Company", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use the Vasuvo Care mobile application ("App").

Vasuvo Care is a consumer wellness and caregiver support application. It is not a medical provider or healthcare service.

This Policy complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and applies to users in India and internationally.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only information necessary to provide our services.

A. Account Information

  • Full Name
  • Mobile Number
  • Email Address
  • Profile photo (optional)
  • State / Location (if voluntarily provided)

B. Caregiver & Patient Information

  • Linked caregiver details
  • Relationship type
  • Emergency contact details

C. Health & Reminder Information

  • Medication names
  • Dosage details
  • Reminder schedules
  • Health notes entered by user
  • Reminder completion logs
  • Activity / inactivity check data (if enabled)
⚠️ We do NOT collect medical records, prescriptions, insurance information, or hospital data.

D. Location Information

  • Precise device location (GPS) (only when you grant location permission; used for caregiver features and fraud prevention)

E. In-App Messages & Communications

  • In-app messages, notifications, and caregiver-to-member communications sent within the app

F. Files & Documents

  • Files or documents you choose to upload or share within the app (e.g. prescription images, health reports) (optional)

G. App Activity & Interactions

  • App interactions (screens visited, features used, buttons tapped)
  • Reminder completion and skip events
  • Session duration and frequency of use

H. Device & Technical Information

  • Device type and model
  • Operating system and version
  • App version
  • Device or advertising ID (device or other IDs)
  • Push notification token
  • Crash logs and diagnostic data
  • Network connection type

2. Lawful Basis for Processing (India � DPDP Act)

We process personal data based on:

  • User consent at registration
  • Performance of service (reminders & caregiver linking)
  • Legal compliance where required

Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Consent to data processing is separate from acceptance of any other terms and conditions.

  • Detect inactivity (if enabled)
  • Send safety alerts
  • Improve app functionality
  • Provide customer support
  • Maintain security and fraud prevention

4. International Data Transfers

If you are located outside India (including the United States), your information may be transferred to and processed in India where our servers or service providers are located.

We transfer personal data only to countries or territories permissible under the DPDP Act, 2023, as notified by the Central Government of India from time to time, or where appropriate contractual and technical safeguards have been established. By using the App, you consent to such transfers in accordance with applicable law. Consent alone is not the sole basis for international transfers — we also ensure compliance with any government-notified restrictions on cross-border data flows.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share limited data with third-party service providers solely to operate the app. The table below maps each data type to the parties it may be shared with and the purpose.

All service providers are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality and may not use your data for their own purposes.

6. Data Storage & Security

We implement technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data:

  • Encrypted in transit: All data transferred between your device and our servers uses HTTPS / TLS encryption
  • Encrypted at rest: Stored data is encrypted on our secure cloud infrastructure
  • Role-based access control — only authorised personnel can access personal data
  • Limited employee access on a need-to-know basis
  • Regular security monitoring and vulnerability assessments

Data Accuracy

In accordance with Section 8(3) of the DPDP Act, 2023, we take reasonable steps to ensure that personal data used to make a decision that affects you, or disclosed to another Data Fiduciary, is complete, accurate, and consistent. You may correct your personal data at any time by updating your in-app profile or by contacting us.

No digital system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@vasuvo.com.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data:

  • As long as your account is active
  • Until you request deletion
  • As required under applicable law

Upon account deletion, personal data will be permanently erased within 30 days of your confirmed deletion request, unless legally required to retain specific records (e.g. transaction records are kept for 7 years under financial regulations; support correspondence for 3 years for fraud prevention). Retained data is never used for marketing.

Right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India (Section 23, DPDP Act 2023): If your grievance is not resolved to your satisfaction by our Grievance Officer (see Section 13), you have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India, the independent regulatory authority established under the Act.

Complaint procedures will be available at the Board's official portal once operational. Contact our Grievance Officer first at grievance@vasuvo.com.

Countries Other Than India Users

For other countries only Caregiver/Care Partner role is open. In this role user can not enter their medical data or health data into the system. Caregiver /Care Partner can only see Patient/Member medical or Health data. we do not sell personal data. Users may request access, correction, or deletion of their stored data.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for individuals below 18 years of age without verifiable parental or legal guardian consent, as required under Section 9 of the DPDP Act, 2023.

  • We do not knowingly process personal data of a child without verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian
  • We do not track, behaviorally monitor, or direct targeted advertising to children
  • We do not process personal data in any manner that could have a detrimental effect on the well-being of a child

If a parent or legal guardian becomes aware that their child has provided personal data without proper consent, they should contact us immediately at support@vasuvo.com. We will delete such data promptly upon verification.

⚠️ If you are under 18, please obtain your parent's or legal guardian's consent before using this App.

10. Account Deletion

You have the right to request permanent deletion of your Vasuvo Care account and all associated personal data at any time. You may submit a deletion request via any of the following methods:

  • Online form (recommended): vasuvo.com/delete-account — submit your request with your registered email address and preferred deletion scope
  • In-app: App Settings → Account → Delete Account
  • Email: contact@vasuvo.com with subject line “Account Deletion Request”

You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. Your account and personal data will be permanently erased within 30 days of that confirmation. See Section 7 for details on what data is retained for legal compliance.

⚠️ Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. All medication schedules, health logs, and family profiles will be permanently removed.

11. Medical Disclaimer

Vasuvo is a reminder and caregiver coordination application.

It is NOT:

  • A medical device
  • A diagnostic tool
  • A substitute for professional medical advice
  • An emergency response system

Always consult a licensed healthcare professional for medical advice. In case of emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

12. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach likely to adversely affect your rights, we will act in accordance with Section 8(6) of the DPDP Act, 2023:

  • Notify the Data Protection Board of India as soon as possible after becoming aware of the breach
  • Notify affected Data Principals (you) without undue delay in the prescribed manner
  • Provide details of the breach, its likely impact, and the remedial steps taken
