Vasuvo Care — User Guide

🚀 1. Getting Started

Who is Vasuvo Care for?

Step 1 — Download & Open

Install Vasuvo Care from the Google Play Store and open it.

Step 2 — Choose Your Role

On the Role Selection screen:

• Tap "I am a Member or Patient" if you are the one taking medicine
• Tap "I am a Care Partner" if you are looking after someone else

Step 3 — Register

1. Enter your full name and mobile number
2. An OTP will be sent — enter it to verify your number
3. Create a 4–6 digit PIN (used for daily login — no password to remember)
4. Read and accept the Medical Disclaimer

Step 4 — Log In

Open the app → enter your phone number → enter your PIN → you're in.

🏠 2. Home Screen

The Home Screen is your daily health dashboard. It shows:

• Today's Medications — every dose due today with status (Pending / Taken / Missed)
• Medication Streak — your consecutive days of perfect adherence
• Allergy Alert — a red banner if you have recorded allergies
• Quick Actions — fast access to Location Sharing, Medical Records, and more
• Member View (Care Partners only) — switch between connected patients using the member selector at the top

Marking a Dose as Taken

On the Home Screen, find the medication card and tap "Mark as Taken". The status updates immediately and your streak is preserved.

💊 3. Medications

Adding a Medication

1. Go to Home → Medications (or tap the pill icon in the bottom nav)
2. Tap the ➕ Add Medication button
3. Fill in: Name, Type, Dosage, Frequency, Times, Days, Start Date, and optionally Supply
4. Tap Save — reminders are scheduled immediately

Medication Types Supported

Tablet, Capsule, Liquid, Injection, Syrup, Gel, Patch, Inhaler, Drop, Other

Editing or Deleting

Open Medications → tap any medication → tap the edit (pencil) or delete (trash) icon.

Missed Dose Escalation

• Level 1 — reminder resent to you
• Level 2 — your Care Partner is notified
• Level 3 — SMS alert sent (if configured)

Supply Tracking

Enter a supply count when adding a medication. The app counts down with each dose and sends a refill reminder when running low.

Supported Vital Types

Logging a Reading

1. Open Health Tracker
2. Tap the ➕ next to any vital type
3. Enter the value and confirm

Daily Vitals Reminders

The app sends reminders at 8 AM and 10 AM via server-side push notification — reliably, even when the app is closed.

🤖 5. AI Insights (AI Clinic)

Personalized health intelligence powered by Google Gemini AI — tailored to your medications and health conditions.

What AI Insights Shows

• Drug Interaction Warnings — flags dangerous combinations
• Diet Tips — foods to eat more of based on your medications
• Foods to Be Cautious Of — what to avoid
• Lifestyle Recommendations — sleep, exercise, daily habits
• Hydration Tips — water intake guidance
• Condition Detection — recognizes chronic conditions from medication names

Refreshing Insights

Tap the refresh icon (top right) to generate a fresh analysis.

Care Plus — Custom Questions Care Plus

Care Plus subscribers can type any health question and get an AI answer in addition to automated insights.

📄 6. Medical Records

A secure digital filing cabinet for all your health documents.

Supported Record Types

Blood Reports, Prescriptions, X-Rays, MRI scans, CT Scans, Other documents

Uploading a Record

1. Go to Home → Medical Records
2. Tap Upload
3. Choose Camera (photo) or File (PDF/image from phone)
4. Select the record type and add an optional note
5. Tap Save

Downloading as PDF

Tap the Download icon on any record to save a PDF copy to your phone.

Member — Sharing Your PIN

1. Go to Profile
2. Your unique Member PIN (format: VASU-XXXXXX) is shown prominently
3. Share this PIN with your family member via WhatsApp or call

Care Partner — Connecting to a Member

1. Go to Connections
2. Tap Connect to a Member
3. Enter the Member's PIN — a connection request is sent for the Member to approve

Consent Controls

Members can grant or revoke per-connection consent for Medical Records and Adherence Reports.

Multiple Care Partners Care Plus

Free plan supports 1 Care Partner. Care Plus allows unlimited Care Partners.

💬 8. Messages

Secure in-app messaging between connected Members and Care Partners.

1. Tap Messages in the bottom navigation
2. Select a conversation
3. Type your message and tap Send

Messages stay private within the app — no external messaging service needed.

📍 9. Location Sharing

Enabling Location Sharing

1. From Home → Location Sharing (quick action)
2. Toggle Share My Location to ON
3. Grant location permission when prompted

Privacy Controls

Location sharing is opt-in — you control when it's on or off. Toggle it off at any time.

Curated health articles covering: medication management, chronic condition guides, nutrition, mental wellness, and senior health.

Access via For You → Essentials → Healthy Pages.

🔬 12. Lab Finder

Find diagnostic labs, clinics, and pathology centers near you.

1. Open Lab Finder (For You → Essentials)
2. Allow location permission when prompted
3. The map shows nearby labs with name, address, distance, hours, and contact
4. Tap a lab to open directions in Google Maps

🎁 13. My Rewards

Earn reward points and access health-related offers. View your points balance, redeem discount coupons, and access exclusive offers for Vasuvo Care users.

Access via For You → Essentials → My Rewards.

🕉️ 14. Spiritual Moment

A daily moment of calm — inspirational quotes and affirmations drawn from multiple traditions (Buddhist, Universal, Indian philosophy).

• Opens automatically once per day on login
• Access anytime from the Home screen menu

📡 15. Activity Monitoring Care Plus

Passive safety monitoring for Members — no action needed from them.

How it Works

The app detects when a Member has not been active and notifies connected Care Partners:

• MEDIUM — 4 hours inactive
• HIGH — 6 hours inactive
• EMERGENCY — 8+ hours inactive

"⚠️ [Name] has not been active for X hours. Please check on them."

📋 16. Adherence Report Care Plus

A detailed report of medication-taking behavior over time.

What the Report Shows

• Medication-by-medication adherence percentage
• Dates and times of taken vs. missed doses
• Overall adherence score and trends

How to Generate

1. Go to Medications → Adherence Report
2. Select the time period — the report generates automatically
3. Tap Download to save as PDF and share with your doctor

👤 17. Profile & Settings

Basic Information

Name, Email (optional), Date of Birth, Blood Type

Heart Health Profile

Used for Cardiovascular Risk Score: Biological Sex, Height, Smoking Status, Family History of Heart Disease

Emergency Contact

Name, phone, and relationship of the person to call in an emergency — shown on the SOS screen and Health Card.

Voice Notifications

Toggle Voice Reminders on/off. Choose language: English or Hindi.

Saving Changes

Scroll to the bottom and tap Save Changes.

🆘 18. Health Card

A digital emergency health card accessible to first responders.

Contains: Name, Date of Birth, Blood Type, Allergies (highlighted in red), Chronic conditions, Emergency contact, Primary physician contact.

Access: Profile → Health Card

💳 19. Subscription Plans

Free — Care Plan

Care Plus — ₹399/month Care Plus

Upgrading

Go to Profile → Subscription → tap Upgrade to Care Plus → complete payment via Razorpay (UPI, card, net banking all supported).

🆘 20. SOS Emergency Button Care Plus

One tap to alert your entire care network.

1. Press the SOS button (red button in the bottom navigation bar)
2. Confirm the emergency in the popup
3. Instant alerts sent to all connected Care Partners (push notification) and Emergency contact (SMS)
4. Your location is shared with the alert

🔔 21. Notifications — How They Work

1. Medication Reminders

Delivered by your device's alarm system at exact scheduled times, also backed by server-side push via Google FCM.

2. Morning Vitals Reminders

Sent at 8 AM and 10 AM daily by the Vasuvo server. Arrives even if the app is completely closed.

3. Missed Dose & Safety Alerts

Sent by the Vasuvo server when a dose is missed or inactivity is detected. Delivered via Google FCM — bypasses battery optimization.

🏥 22. Caregiver Professional Login

For professional caregivers (nurses, care agencies) — a separate login mode with a dashboard view.

On the Role Selection screen → tap "I am a Professional Caregiver" → enter your organization credentials.

The dashboard shows assigned patients, their medication schedules and adherence, and quick contact actions.

🛠️ 23. Tips & Troubleshooting

Notifications not coming?

1. Go to Settings → Apps → Vasuvo Care → Notifications → make sure all channels are enabled
2. Check that "Pause app activity if unused" is OFF (Settings → Apps → Vasuvo Care)
3. Vitals reminders come via Google's servers — they work even when the app is closed

The app shows old data?

Pull down on any screen to force refresh. The app auto-refreshes every minute in the background.

How do I switch between patients? (Care Partners)

On the Home screen, tap the Member selector at the top to switch between your connected Members.

My adherence report is missing data?

The Member must grant Adherence Report consent: Connections → [your name] → Consent → Adherence Reports → Enable.

I forgot my PIN?

Tap "Forgot PIN?" on the login screen → enter your registered phone number → an OTP is sent → reset your PIN.

How do I cancel Care Plus?

Go to Profile → Subscription → Switch to Free. You retain Care Plus access until the end of the current billing period.
